Egypt’s Minister of Labor Oversees Signing of Six Strategic Cooperation Agreements During WorkShift 2026 Summit to Support Freelancing and the Digital Economy

Hassan Raddad, Egypt’s Minister of Labor, witnessed the signing of six strategic cooperation agreements during the opening of WorkShift 2026, Egypt’s first executive summit dedicated to the future of freelancing, remote work, and the digital economy. The agreements, signed between @Job Platform and a number of leading institutions and companies, aim to build an integrated ecosystem that supports freelancers, enhances remote work opportunities, and strengthens the competitiveness of Egyptian talent in the global digital economy.The signing ceremony began with a cooperation agreement between @Job Platform and Misr International University (MIU) to establish a Freelancers Hub on campus. The initiative is designed to equip students with the skills required for the freelance economy, enhance their digital capabilities, and connect them with future employment opportunities, helping prepare a new generation of globally competitive freelance professionals.A second agreement was signed with Vezeeta, the summit’s Official Digital Health Partner, to provide healthcare services and medical benefits for freelancers and remote workers, supporting their professional stability and overall well-being.The summit also witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement with Fawry, aimed at delivering advanced digital payment solutions, promoting financial inclusion, and facilitating financial transactions for freelancers and digital workers, enabling their greater integration into Egypt’s formal economy.In support of entrepreneurship and innovation, @Job Platform signed a strategic partnership with Growth Labs to empower startups and entrepreneurs, strengthen the innovation ecosystem, and create greater opportunities for business growth and expansion within the digital economy.Another agreement was concluded with IBDL Group to develop and accredit professional learning pathways and certifications aligned with the evolving demands of the modern labor market, enhancing the readiness of Egyptian professionals to compete across regional and international markets.The signing ceremony concluded with a partnership between @Job Platform and ICF Egypt Chapter, the local chapter of the International Coaching Federation, to provide career coaching and professional guidance services for digital economy professionals, helping them build sustainable career paths and improve their long-term success in the labor market.Commenting on the agreements, Nermine El-Nemr, Founder of WorkShift Summit and CEO of Manteq for Management, Training & Technology Solutions, the company behind @Job Platform, said that these partnerships represent a practical translation of the summit’s vision.”WorkShift is not merely a forum for discussing ideas; it is an execution platform that brings together key stakeholders to build tangible partnerships capable of advancing Egypt’s freelance ecosystem,” she said.El-Nemr added that collaboration with universities, financial institutions, technology companies, healthcare providers, training organizations, and career development partners reflects a comprehensive vision for creating a supportive environment for independent professionals.
