Khazna Capital, part of Khazna, a financial technology company focused on empowering underserved consumers across the Middle East, has completed its acquisition of Pharos Consumer Finance Company from Pharos Holding earlier this year, while beginning to deploy credit facilities from financial institutions.
The strategic transaction marks a significant milestone in Khazna’s long-term growth strategy in Egypt’s consumer finance market. It enables the company to expand its financial services through its business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) partnership model, which leverages users’ salary and pension data to support efficient customer distribution, credit risk management, and greater trust.
FRA License Strengthens Khazna’s Market Position
The acquisition provides Khazna with access to a consumer finance license issued by Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), strengthening its ability to deliver regulated and responsible financial services to millions of Egyptians underserved by traditional banking institutions.
Through this move, Khazna aims to broaden access to digital financing solutions tailored to diverse consumer needs, leveraging its partnership-led business model to expand distribution and enhance credit risk management.
