Cairo’s champion will represent the city at the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Grand Finals in Türkiye

Turkish Airlines, the airline flying to more countries than any other carrier worldwide, brought the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup to Katameya Dunes Golf & Social Club in Cairo on October 24, 2026. The event welcomed prominent local figures and members of the business community for a day of competitive golf and networking.
A Global Golf Tournament Spanning 84 Countries
Since its launch in 2013, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup has grown into a major international amateur golf competition, bringing together more than 10,000 players across over 130 tournaments in 84 countries worldwide.
The Cairo event at Katameya Dunes Golf & Social Club marked the 98th of 139 tournaments scheduled for the 2026 edition. Local winners will advance to the Grand Finals in Türkiye later this year, where finalists from around the world will compete for the title.
The Grand Finals will offer participants the opportunity to play at Gloria Golf Club and stay at Gloria Serenity Resort on Türkiye’s renowned golf coast.
Tinashe Tamba Wins the Cairo Title
Representing Cairo, Tinashe Tamba claimed first place with 42 points, while Omer Tawfik finished as runner-up and Adel Twefik secured third place.
The Closest to the Pin awards went to Mahmoud Sherif in the men’s category and Keunae Her in the women’s category. Tinashe Tamba also won the Gross award with a score of 33.

All Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup finalists will travel to Türkiye in Turkish Airlines Business Class to compete in the Grand Finals.
